A 3D-printed, humanoid robot

Poppy is optimised for research and education purposes and its modularity allows for a wide range of applications and experimentations. It helps learners explore balance, movement and biomechanics. Because what comes intuitively to us, is in robots the product of trillions of computations in split seconds. By exploring these movements we can not only learn about how to make robots but perhaps find out more about how we humans work. Poppy raises lots of questions, not least of which is how we express emotions with body language, gestures and dance.
